Would MBBS allow me to practise anywhere in the world or do I need MD if I want to travel and practice in the US as well as Australia?

MBBS is sufficient.

For all intents and purposes, the MBBS and the MD are pretty much the same thing, just different nomenclature.

You can practice in the US with an MBBS, just as you can practice here with a BM BCh (Oxford), MB ChB from Otago, etc.

You can't just take a degree from here and go practice in another country, you need to consider the regulations of the other country.

In theory UoM has better global recognition than most other Australian universities, but I feel the difference is rather small here

If you want to practice in america then you will hafta take the USMLE during and after med school. We had people talk to us about this option this year. I know most people choose to take the USMLE1 in or after 2nd year. Oh and i dont think it matters whether you have an MBBS or MD
