can anyone help me out with the 2 poing smoothing on exam 1 2011 core q 13, not sure how to do it

Since this is moving mean smoothing with an even number of points...

take the mean of 2005 and 2006 ---> (2016000+3900000)/2= 2958000

take the mean of 2006 and 2007---> (3900000+4830000)/2= 4365000

then you can find the average of 2006 by adding together the mean of 2005/2006 and the mean of 2006/2007 and dividing it by 2 ---> (2958000+ 4365000)/2= 3661500

so the answer is D
