Evaluation

So as we all know evaluation is the most important part of philosophy, but I have noticed that in all the examiners reports they never indicate the merit of the philosopher's arguments but merely their limitations. Is it acceptable to agree with their argument if you have a sufficient point to back up your argument? Or is it safer to find fault in the philosopher's arguments?

Thanks.
