You're on the same boat as me in terms of texts and film studied.
Here are some ideas:
-country of origin determines part of one's identity.
-different suburbs have different cultures and nationalities, and one's existence within that area forms a small section of their self-understanding.
-Where we usually go, eg. school or work, often provides a building block for who we are as a person.
-Sandra Laing is trapped between seeing herself as part of two different cultures as she transits from her adopted family to her husband's.
-Kylie Kwong doesn't sense a strong connection with her motherland as she is used to living and being raised in Australia.
There are more I can think of, however these five points should be adequate for five body paragraphs.

thanks for the ideas, but with Sandra being trapped between two different cultures, whats that got to do with 'where she is'.

I forgot to reconsider that. What I had in mind was something like she moves from a fairly wealthy caucasian family in one region where they a isolated from many white people to a not so wealthy Afrikaan family in another region, where lots of financially disadvantaged Afrikaans reside. This may not point out a strong interpretation of the prompt if you were to employ this, though.
By the way, thanks Werdna.
