What are we allowed to do in the reading time in methods and specialist?

1) Are we allowed to write our name and student number?
2) Are we allowed to open up our calculator and turn it on?
3) Are we allowed to use our calculator?
4) Are we allowed to rip out the formula sheet / multiple choice answer sheet?
5) Are we allowed to scratch MC answers in with our fingernails?

Please let me know what is and isn't allowed. Thanks in advance.

1) Are we allowed to write our name and student number? NO
2) Are we allowed to open up our calculator and turn it on? Open up yes turn it on NO
3) Are we allowed to use our calculator? NO
4) Are we allowed to rip out the formula sheet / multiple choice answer sheet? YES
5) Are we allowed to scratch MC answers in with our fingernails? YES if you are sure no one sees. IF being seen, u are counted as cheating. My advice? Just look at the questions and figure out which questions to do first.

1) No, you are asked to do that after reading time. "A student must not begin to write or mark his or her paper or response material in any way, until advised by a supervisor that writing may commence."
2) Yes open it, No to turning it on. "A student must not begin to write or mark his or her paper or response material in any way, or use a calculator, until advised by a supervisor that writing may commence."
3) Refer to above.
4) Yes. "Detach the formulae sheet from the centre of this book during reading time."
5) No, you strictly cannot mark the exam paper in any way. This is the third time so you definitely won't forget! "A student must not begin to write or mark his or her paper or response material in any way, or use a calculator, until advised by a supervisor that writing may commence."
