whats the purpose of gov doing nutrition surveys
I guessed them by saying assessing what people eat to make strategies to promote healthier eating and to have a country wide prospective on what the country eat haha

I thought it was:
* To compare the nations ranking with other countries
* To get an idea of the health level of the nation
I took a guess ( I didn't study it so I don't know whether it was right or not haha) Your answer is okay, i don't think it's for the other countries, I think just strictly in Australia

I wrote that they allow the government to monitor the marketing of products (such as processed foods high in sodium, sugar etc) and the trends of nutrition consumption, and that they also allow the government for formulate effective policies and strategies to address the areas of consumption that needs improvement? haha. i seem to always get different answers to everyone else somehow...

I wrote to evaluate/assess trends relating to the consumption of nutrients in Australia and elaborated on the nutrients that are being over consumed and under consumed.
Then I wrote the about the conditions that may increase due to the nutrients being consumed so health professionals etc. can implement programs to promote those nutrients  :-\
I don't know if that's right.   :(

I ran out of time! Didn't get to do the the very last question worth 6 marks :( pretty annoyed about that.
Otherwise, thought it was quite a bit easier this year than past years (although there's only two to compare to on this study design).
This year I thought was more application rather than straight up memorising and definitions. And yeah, a lot of CVD and AusAID.

Will quote my textbook now

"The use of nutrition surveys are varied and include assessment of dietary intakes, dietary trends and food consumption economics; the development of policies for food assistance, food labeling and food safety programs and the implementation of dietary guidance and education programs.

Generally, overall objective of food and nutrition surveys is to provide food/nutrient data to assist with Australia's food & nutrition policy.

Can be used to highlight population groups"

NOO there goes a mark for me :P

The promote one. Then i went on and explain how she can make a contribution in the community which bring water to their community. And she could work and earn her own income.

I don't think you'd be wrong if you chose the other one - I remember the way the question was worded suggested that there was more than one correct MDG you could list.

Yeah I was going to go with promote gender equality and empower women but I realized it focused on trying to eradicate poverty and hunger
