2011 Exam 2 Hard? LOL

2012 was a lot harder in my opinion. Five questions for extended response.

Hardest VCAA Exam yet.

I think A+ cutoff would be high 58/80? Or lower...

IMO the exam today was reasonably challenging, and I didn't have time to finish the last three questions but that's my own problem.everything else was alright :)

I found it hard. But it seemed kind of comparable to past exams. Missed a few questions, guessed a few. Hopefully I'll get 50% right.

I got my ass whooped. A bit irritated that I only realised how to do one of the multiple choices in the last minute or so and didn't have time to do the working.

I didn't complete any of the analysis stuff, damn Tasmania Jones one...I'd seen a question like that on a past or trial exam (first part, express r in terms of h or something) but couldn't figure it out lol. Did you have to use similar triangles or something?

Left the probability question blank

I found last years exam pretty easy, but I found this years exam 10x harder lol

Tasmania Jones question this year was pretty easy, it was a related rates question that involved the cone again.

I averaged around 70-90% (I think I got one 65%) for all the VCAA exam 2's for methods (06 onwards) and this was by far the hardest. MC was incredibly challenging, I usually get around 20/22 (with the two wrong being educated guesses usually) this year I'd be pretty pleased with a 15/20. The short answer wasn't too bad, if I had an extra 20 minutes I would be pretty confident to say I would have nailed 75%+ of it, however due to my poorly timed multi choice section I had to ignore mistakes I've made (that would take longer then a minute to fix..) so I could finish the exam. I'm generally an A student with maths, so hopefully I get it  (on the hopefully low cutoff)

What did Tasmania Jones do this time round?

Dive into a pit of acid to get an emerald, it was definitely one of the easier Jones' questions
