How did everyone go? :)

Personally, I felt it was a reasonable and fair exam! The definitions was a new aspect, but it was less content-demanding in relation to previous years. Hopefully I can secure a decent mark!

How does everyone else feel they went? :)

I thought it was one of the easier exams that I have done for Studio. So all is well :D

Yes definitely! I've done much harder ones. Is it just me or did you find that choosing three different artworks for Section A was a good idea?

I found the question where it asked for "how the aesthetic qualities contribute to the style" quite difficult. I always thought it was style that contributed to the aesthetic qualities. But otherwise, it was a mostly straightforward exam, and walked out quietly confident :)

Yeah I thought that was kinda vague, I just talked about how certain aesthetic qualities especially the elements of art convey certain emotions etc.

Think that was the right way of approaching it?

Gosh. This question and the definition question threw me off a little bit. With the latter my first thought was, "LOL VCAA are running out of questions."

Yep that's a good way to approach it as far as I know.

Please don't tell me that i misinterpreted this question! I basically wrote about how the elements formed aesthetic qualities and how the aesthetic qualities contribute to mood etc to create a surrealist style(which was appropriate tot eh piece I chose to discuss).  Hopefully I don't lose any points for that question. Can anyone remember how much the question was worth? Also, how much was the question worth on copyright??

I'm worried because 'style' is really ambiguous. I probably attempted the question wrong :( who knows.

I think that, too, would be acceptable. Don't worry, it's over :)

It's worth 10 marks I thin. The appropriation question is 15 if I'm not mistaken.

I keep going over my performance in the exams again and again and keep finding faults everywhere. It's beginning to become a real problem.

I wrote exactly this, for the dali photograph. according to vcaa, style is a distinguishable feature in an artwork. im not sure if this relates to a movement/art style, or just the unique properties of the artwork. damn vcaa.

I'm hoping it's the latter. I took 'style' as a quality that the piece had. From that quality I used art elements to explain the mood it coveys. I didn't mention art movements though :(

I just did both. I am pretty sure it relates to an art movement. All the high tier responses in regards to style discuss the movement of art associated with the piece analysed. They won't be too harsh.

You have to remember that there are students who take  studio arts as a "bludge" subject so I'm sure the examiners will find it refreshing to see any response that shows that you actually care.
