The 4 mark social network website one i talked about a type of website (forum) and what different forums would need to cater towards for different users.
Not sure if thats right anymore with people talking about facebook :/

I did exactly that and a lot of my friends talked about Facebook..

I got confused with this one as well. At first I was going to write about one of the three: blog, forum or wiki but then I read over the question and the start of the question stated: 'Identify a social network' which I assumed to identify an existing social network and I said Facebook as well.

I talked about Facebook...but, we'll see. An odd question though.

Does anyone think it is possible to get some marks for the question if it was actually talking about a pre existing social networks and not a forum/wiki/blog in general? and Vice versa?

All I know is most people are saying that they put Facebook down, but in my eyes from what the question said it was asking for any sort of social networking site not an actual current site at the moment.

All I'm hoping is that since I put forum down and explained why it would meet the needs for the user in terms of social networking I get some marks.

I talked about facebook for my question, in my opinion is was very vague. It didnt really seem to have a guidance on how the marks would be given out so I can't be too sure on this.

I dont think its a forum or chatrooms or that kind of stuff because social networking, as defined by vcaa, is a specific type of website itself. So by picking a forum you would be saying that social networking is a forum, rather than it being a subset of social networking.

The question asked for "a social networking site"  so I was thinking it could be any one of the type of social networking site types.

My only problem was that the question didn't CLEARLY ask for what it was intended to.

That is a fair judegement and interpretation. We'll just have to wait for VCEIT post mortem to see.
If I'm wrong i should squeeze in a mark for it. Going from past papers you can lose up to around 20 marks and still get an A+ so i SHOULD be fine hopefuly :P

I agree it was pretty vague with how it went, the A+ mark should be pretty similar to last year because the format wasn't very similar and it probably did throw many students off.

I felt like one of the multiple choice for the car insurance or whatever it was, was very vague. The one which had the three options and it was A and B and not C or A and B and C, something like that with different letters.

I wasn't sure of C was for not having criminal convictions or having criminal convictions...The question simply said and "if they do not have criminal convictions (C)"

I remember having A and B and not C or something because it asked for A and B and no criminal convictions (C).

Had that as well, took a good 5 minutes to interpret what it was actually asking

i said A, B and C. As (C) was for if they had no criminal convictions, so if they had the (C) they could be accepted.

I had A, B and C as well, I interpreted that C meant having no criminal convictions

Pretty sure 'C' meant criminal convictions. I read it a few times and it asked for no criminal convictions, so it couldn't of been C. Everyone I spoke to got that one.

The wording/punctuation of it was messy, but if you thought of it logically C would of had to mean 'Convictions'.

yeah it was pretty messy, would be logical for C to mean convictions. I was thinking that for a while as well, in the end I just took a guess with one of the two. You'd think vcaa would have people test these out, considering we learn so much about testing in IT. Should run it through people and see if they understand without extra explaining....
