busman exam
« on: November 15, 2012, 09:04:44 pm »
Hey guys,

I've had 5 sacs for busman, 3 were A's and 2 were A+'s.

If i think I got around 58/65 for the exam, what do you guys think my study score would be?

I know it's hard to tell, but I'd really appreciate an estimate from someone, just so I know what to expect.

Although it may be higher depending on your rank and cohort

Definitely 40+ if your sacs scale to A+ based on last years A+ cutoff of 51.5/65 you would get a mid A+ on the exam and with equivilant sac marks a study score ~ 41-45

its a study score estimator
so on vcaa website search graded distributions, go to bman
and for each ga1 ga2 and ga3 write in your marks
then find the lower and upper of your grade
eg a+ for exam is 103-130
then on the left side of the graded distributions they have the mean and standard deviation for each ga
so fill that in and it will give you a study score

I think you'd get a 42-45 with a high exam mark like that. The cut off for an A+ is 13.5-14 marks traditionally, your sac marks will scale up too. So at least 42 but probably closer to 45

If it helps, I got 115/130 last year (57.5/65) and received ss of 46. But I wouldn't be so confident. I walked out of the exam thinking I got 62/65 but I was soon to learn that the VCAA Business Management assessors are absolute tight asses
