I checked results first thing last year and it didn't crash. Bazza16, you can select what you want to see first. The page you go onto after logging in doesn't have any scores on it btw.

When we log on, does it display our ATAR automatically?
I prefer to view my study scores first individually before seeing my ATAR

Yupp you can view either...so two little tabs will pop up and one of them will link you to "view your 2012 atar" or "view 2012 subject study scores" (something like that) and yeaah dw you won't get a mini heart attack from your atar popping up on the screen when you first log in :P and the results are often available a little before the specified time, like I was up last year at 6.30 am and by the time it was 6.50, I'd already accessed my results and to my surprise, it was so QUICK! I thought everything would crash and go at snails pace hahaha

Did you make sure you didn't include the letter in your VTAC number?

I'm at Philip Island on December 17 so I have to get it texted to me :p But i have a blackberry so it doesn't appear on the screen automoatically

And it didn't crash last year as far as I'm concerned. I checked it at 7:05 am as well...

And I don't think you can register for the text message option until Dec 12...

Whatever you do, DO NOT GET YOUR RESULTS TEXTED.

I did last year. It was the worst feeling in the world, and what was worse, it came 10 minutes early when I was using my phone. So out of nowhere, the entire message just appeared on my screen and rage.
He says, with a scaled score of 48.

Hey, the vtac site says " Log on to resultsandatar.vic.edu.au using your student number and PIN from Monday, 17 December to 12 noon to Monday, 24 December 2012."

I don't know what my PIN is, what do I do?!

My issue exactly
I've just abandoned the idea of getting it texted, just use the internet site instead I think

I'm pretty sure its the PIN you made  to put in your course preferences on the VTAC website

If you're in Year 11, your pin is your birthday... e.g. If you are born on the 22nd November, your pin is 2211
If you're in Year 12, your pin is the one you logged into VTAC with and applied and all that. :)

I agree! I'd registered for the results to get sent by text as well but mine came around 12 pm that day! :O Talk about delayed :-\ Your best and quickest option is to access them online :)

Maybe i'll get drunk and then check them.

Not at 7am...

Whatever you do, DO NOT GET YOUR RESULTS TEXTED.

I did last year. It was the worst feeling in the world, and what was worse, it came 10 minutes early when I was using my phone. So out of nowhere, the entire message just appeared on my screen and rage.

I don't like having that heart-racing build-up towards the moment. I prefer to just see it and get it over with, to save myself from having a panic attack. That's why I'll register for text. It's not like I'm going to get a 99+ ATAR anyway. I'll most likely get in the 90-95 range, so I don't expect to be hugely surprised when it comes out, but even so...
2012 ATAR - 86.75
2013 ATAR - 88.50
2014: BSci (Statistics) at RMIT
2015 - 2017: BCom at UoM
