Atar to OP

As you would already know, UQ requires an OP 1 for med entry/dent entry.  Since I did spesh in high school, I can get a QTAC rank of 97.  What is the Atar equivalent?   I know that if you get an Atar of 97.5, you will get a Qtac rank of 98, which is an OP2.

Conversion -> http://www.qtac.edu.au/Applying-CurrentYr12/InterstateAdmissions.html

But it only has 99 and 98 QTAC Rank.  I want to know 97 Qtac rank :)

I don't think it's possible to know, the last column (on the site) is only an approximation anyway. :/

I always thought the bonus points were ATAR points, but apparently not :O They're pretty similar though. And maybe that someone got more bonus points.. you can get up to 5. :)

I'm fairly sure they are ATAR points?

eg. Get 96 ATAR + spesh -> 98 ATAR (2 bonus points)

Yeah that's what I thought, but the OP suggested that the 2 bonus points were 2 QTAC rank points.

Even if it is QTAC rank, there isn't much difference anyway (the table itself is only an approximation) :)

I'm right in that that's what you're suggesting? :O

Well theres this:
http://www.uq.edu.au/study/?page=86632

"Year 12 students applying through QTAC may receive up to five bonus points" ......"Queensland school leavers should note that bonus points are not OPs, rather they are entry ranks. A Queensland student’s OP is converted to the QTAC 1-99 University entry rank scale to which the bonus points are applied."

So I think they are QTAC points, but they're so similar to ATAR points anyways. Hope that helps :)

How do you get 99.75 or anything above 99.00 if it ends in overall band of 1? Do they have like 0.5 or something???

In terms of OP, there is no difference between 99.00 and 99.95. That's where the QTAC Rank comes into it if the unis want to differentiate :)

Yeah, QLD is the backward state. Even their number plates are backwards to prove the point.

Nice theme parks and beaches though.
