Summer Schools- which is best?

Hi guys,

Given that I've just finished 2 Year 12 subjects in Year 11, I realize that I wasn't as prepared as I could've been. Therefore, I'm hoping to attend summer school over these holidays.

Any advice on which summer school/program is the best or most effective?
I've heard TSFX is really good, and most of my friends are attending; however, given that I've attended one of their literature ones earlier this year, I didn't actually like it/ found it extremely helpful.

There's also TSSM. Any views?
Also open to any other summer programs that are good.

Thanks. :)

Just don't go to TSFX for English. You've been warned.

I applied for the VCE Summer School at the University of Melbourne. It sounds really good.  :)

To be honest, I wouldn't bother. I never went, and my friends (really smart - honestly) who went came back and said that everything flew past them. I mean, it's like 20 weeks worth of material in 1-2 days?
If you really want to get advanced, I would just slowly start doing the coursework, and hire a tutor or something to help you with what you don't understand. That way you get way more out of the same price.

But don't stress yourself out during these holidays. Relax as well - take my advice; I studied a LOT during the summer holidays last year (because I was really behind on one subject - Latin) and regretted it because I didn't feel refreshed the whole year. The other holidays I decided to just totally rest and did so much better.

I know that it's easy to get afraid, especially if you feel you could have been more prepared, but please chill out as well :)

Take a break. I went to the TSFX summer school, and everything just went through one ear and out the other. It isn't worth the money.

Am taking in students for CHEMISTRY and MATHS METHODS tuition for 2014 as well as first year chemistry. If interested, pm me. Flexible with location.

Thanks for the advice guys. Decided not to go to the english one, but will attend the Chemistry and legal studies. For specialists maths, I'll just get a tutor and start going through the content. :)
