End of Year 11 transition lectures, and holiday homework are fairly typical.
But you must bear in mind, that your teacher sets the SAME amount of homework to all students, but not all students will achieve the SAME study score at the end of the year.
VCE basically rewards effort, and at the of the day the amount of effort put in by students will cover the entire spectrum and so will study scores.
Ultimately, we are talking about individual choice. There is no such thing as a perfect preparation, but we can fairly conidently say that greater effort leads to higher scores.

I agree. There will be a large number of students who will not complete these set tasks and over 12 months, many more people can drop the ball as well. It's all about consistency. :)

If there's anything I'm scared about now, it's this. I'm all enthusiastic about it now, but I'd have to check in, in a few months and hope that it is still the same. If not better!

That's why don't burnt out now; don't work too hard now. Go at your own pace  :)

In a few months, I'm sure your motivation levels will be just as high, because there are no mid-years...this should ease the tension somewhat I reckon haha  :)

I worked way too hard last year and I only had a small burnout (last week of term 3 - handed in a pretty crappy English essay but luckily there were no SACs). I don't intend on going nuts like I did this year so I think I'll be fine. :)

Sweet :)

I'm just going to be reading texts this month. My report is on the back of my mind and so are my year 12's this year. But I don't care about physics and I'm planning to do English again so I'm not that worried.

But I think it's best to start work with a clean slate and a fresh mind. :)

By that do you mean you don't care about your Physics 1/2 score or you don't care about the subject in general? If the latter, why are you choosing it next year?

Don't do physics unless you love it from yr11 imo. Because you will seriously just come to hate it more in yr12.

I didn't do VCE physics myself but starting to self learn it from MCAT materal. It's a subject that you should do if your leaning towards engineering. Overall though don't do a subject you don't enjoy even though your allowed to take a cheat sheet.

Physics 3/4, big mistake unfortunately, regret it.

Don't get the wrong idea. I absolutely love physics as a whole, it kind of is my favorite sort of subject, but the things covered in the VCE study design was very dry and boring for me. My teacher didn't really help either, he didn't understand half the questions I asked him..

So I'm going to take what I get and move on  :)

Nitric oxide? What about it?

Do you want to talk about the physics of ventilation, using NO as an example gas?
