Hey,

EDIT: Apparently this is not allowed under copyright, and therefore will not be initiated. It was all done in the pretence of helping people, and I'll continue to do that on these forums if anyone needs.

Cheers

Well, for some reason, the lectures for the Thermodynamics portion is not on the LMS anymore (da fuq?), but I've got the rest. I'm going to set up the profile tomorrow and begin uploading stuff and hopefully get this whole thing rolling.

Hey guys honestly we can't facilitate for this here as universities have pretty strict policies for sharing their content.

Whilst I'm not sure of it myself, once you've enrolled in the units for next semester you should be okay to share notes privately (Y). You can also ask people for advice as to what resources to use for a subject, how to approach tasks/tests, and discuss theoretical content, but we can't openly share copyright material here.

OT, email the course co-ordinator as to what textbook will be used in the next semester so you can get a head start/look up the topics through other online resources.

^first link for pretty much all courses, KhanAcademy for almost all introductory science/commerce/maths, and there are various videos for Thermo (the one I linked is just one of the ones I used)
vce: english, methods, spesh, chemistry, physics, geography.

In short, the copy paste job the majority of your lecturers do on the slides is protected by copyright laws.

I know, it shocked me, too. But, thanks to overly rigid copyright laws, and the legions of protectors of said copyright laws, I share a bunk bed with a Romanian chap who comments profusely on my supple skin-

Oh wait, this is not a dream telling thread?

By the way, were you in the Arts building handing in an exchange form for California on about the 22nd and bumped into a girl you knew whilst doing so?

Umm, I don't think that was me. I handed it into the Science Student Centre but I was talking a chick mate at the time.

Ah, that's a shame. I was hoping I could freak you out.

Sharing material is risky, if say a student found out one of their peers had an advantage, they may 'raise the alarm' which leads to investigation etc. etc. etc. Unlikely you will be caught, but not worth it. The University also has people sometimes read these forums or look to see if there is sharing elsewhere, so I suggest that no one does it. I suspect it's why they change a few things around every year such as the practicals and the lecture material content for some of the parts - well at least for biology, they only give out one practice exam because they don't want a billion emails about things off the course because it was on a practice exam, and they also change the practicals every year as I have heard. It's also not fair on those who get the material as opposed to those who don't, and of course there are copyright issues. You were of course intending under good faith, and are an extremely helpful, intelligent member on these forums, and have not undertaken the idea to my understanding, so there has nothing here that was done wrong.

thanks for the link. Any suggestions where I should start maths wise ( I have a solid methods and spesh foundation). I have engineering books (pdf) but they are too complex to grasp at the moment.

KhanAcademy is really good on maths, pick a topic there and go through until you get to the uni stuff

Whilst I'm not sure of it myself, once you've enrolled in the units for next semester you should be okay to share notes privately (Y).

You actually can't (well, not legally) unless the lecturer says OK. afaik you're not given the right to redistribute his intellectual property just because you're taking the class

Oh I thought this was a thread for us to share notes and guides we wrote ourselves :3
Of which I have many...some good, some bad. If you're ever interested (general population) then hit me up.  They're probably billions of pages per subject...

Yeah same :S Do YOU have any stuff for chem 1? I'd love to just see how the course is structured and stuff.
