'Forum games' board

This is very common on a lot of other forums and I thought with summer coming up people might get a bit bored and that this would be a good idea. If you don't quite understand what I'm suggesting, I'm referring to games like "Let's keeping posting until a moderator comes", "word train" etc.

Well someone created a game thread today and it just got locked. I'm assuming this suggestion won't be taken seriously?

If you can think of more games than just "3 word story" I'll make a new board for it

(posting until moderator comes just sounds spammy)

Word Association (post a word that is related to the previous post)

Would you rather (poster asks a question, next person answers it)

Answer a question with another question

Last letter of the word game (kinda like Shiritori)

Uhh I'll try and come up with some more later

#2 is great, #1 and #3 is kinda just spam, #4 is ok

Idm there being a board with post count disabled as long as it's going to be for vaguely interesting games.

Make sure it stays out of the 'Recent Posts' list too, at the bottom of the page

That was one of the reasons I locked the other thread, it was taking credit away from the posts actually helping people. Furthermore and aforementioned, spammy posts adding to post count probs wasn't a great idea.

I am happy for this to go ahead on 3 conditions:

1) No respect on the board (obviously)
2) Doesn't contribute to post count
3) Doesn't show up in recent posts.

The 2nd and 3rd posts may need David's tech wizardry to achieve. He is currently stretched very thin, working on a million things. This will have to wait until he has the time to make it happen.

Thank you for your understanding.

You can do #2 and #3 with SMF admin controls/mods if you know how. Upgrade my permissions and I'll do it
