Educational Nostalgia

These days we're so worked up about VCE and stuff, but as I was throwing this years stuff into the bin I came across this book.

It's so weird, I recognised the plane and the car I drew, that's how I used to draw cars all the time!

I smiled when I saw it :) I wish I could go back.

Then I found this page.

The page basically about problems Santa faces and how he can fix them.

Read the second one. It basically says that "there are no presents for santa to deliver" and my suggestion was "go to the shops and steel (steal)" Hahahaha

Made me lol..

Share some of your work :)

At primary school we kept a scrapbook of all the work we did throughout the year so that it was easy to store it all. Needless to say, I've kept each scrapbook (they'll be around here somewhere...). When I find them I'll post some classics up.

I also used to write "books" (sometimes I'd record myself and make up stories too). If I could go back and see past self, I'd tell him not to be so darn embarrassing all the time. Watching family videos just make me cringe. :/

Don't know if this is relevant.
On the first day of my esl class my teacher gave everyone a paper with a topic of My Name. Apperantly, he wanted us just to write our names on so we could play a game. Oh my, i wrote an entire essay on what's my name and what its meaning in english and how our names are not going to decide our fate and so on.
So much for being enthusiastic in learning ;D

Alright so I took pictures of my very first storybook. I wrote this in prep and it's based on a true occurrence.

'The busy bees'

'Once upon a time at Stephen's house there were bees.'

'Stephen saw a hive. Stephen said "There are bees!"'

'Stephen's dad rang the council.'

'The council killed the bees. And we lived happily ever after. The end.'

Man, that was terrible! I can't believe that's how I even spelt 'council'! :P

Oh my goodness you just reminded me!!!! I actually wrote quite a few picture books when I was a kid - I'll post them up if I find them. In grade one I think I wrote a story called "The Big Rescue" and in grade two I did another one called "The Runaway Birthday Cake"!!!! XD And there were numerous others and extended unfinished epic stories but I can't remember all of their names right now. XD Oh man I really want to find them, they were properly bound and typed up and everything. :D

By the way, some epic stories/pictures being posted here. Geniuses in the making. :P

Your stories sound better than mine. I always wrote mine based on actual events or another book - eg "The Rainbow Dog".

We were told we had to write a blurb too. Our teacher looked straight at you and said "A blurb, not another story, OK?".
