Is the study score sent in the mail scaled or?...
And I know someone who got A+s for everything in Accounting but only got a study score of 40 whilst another person who got 2 A+s and an A managed to get a 41, can someone please explain this?

Definition of A+: top 10%
Definition of 40: top 8%

Hence, A+ A+ A+ can net you as low as 38. It depends on how 'high' or 'low' your A+ is.

Hope that helps :)

Just double checking - when I got my result yesterday, it said I didn't qualify for the VCE. This is normal for a Year 11, right? :)

Yes. This is because you don't meet the English requirement.

Thanks guys for all the helpful tips i've received on here, appreciate it a lot. As a year 11 student, so relieved to get a 3/4 out of the way (Legal). Did NOT expect to do well considering my SACs ranged somewhere between 79% and 88%, checked my results expecting a 35 and when I saw the 44 I thought VCAA had made a mistake. Once again, cheers guys, and congrats class of 2012 on some amazing results  :)

What is an A,A,B+ ?

Depends on plenty of things, but it's a safe bet to guess that it'd be around mid 30s.

Business Management: A/A/B (34) Was predicted by my teacher a 45 :(
Anybody else done Business care to share their results?

A+ A B+ for 36
quite devastated to be honest, considering i loved the subject so much and poured all my effort into it. i just cracked under pressure during the exam, as it was my first one and it wasnt the easiest exam..
ill tell you what it has motivated me heaps to kick ass next year to make up for it haha

How did I still get a 42 after that A on the mid-year's in Physics? :)
So happy.
Should've cared about english earlier, so that my SAC marks wouldn't have dragged me down, but 43 is still really good :) :)

I know a girl who got an A on one of her exams for Psychology who got 45, as did another who did Environmental Science and got a 45 as well with an A on the mid year. I'm really surprised seeing as so many people on this forum have stressed that you can't get over about 42-43 with an A on one of the two exams.

2013: Literature (38+) | French (25+) | English (45+) | Environmental Science (38+)

Yeah, but I wasn't really expecting an A+ on that exam either haha

I was sort of disappointed with my methods mark I expected low 40's but I received a SS of 38 and received all A's. However through checking the solutions on atar notes I know I lost 3 marks on first exam and about 12 marks on second exam. Does this reflect my mark? I was think about getting a statement of marks..
