I've read the info in the links but I'm still a little confused. So what exactly is the tutors network? Do we find our own students? Since I didn't get 45+ for any of my subjects I can't apply to become a lecturer?

Looking forward to working with some new faces next year!

The network is our database of trustworthy tutors that we are confident to recommend to others. Basically, we interview tutors for quality, then with a small once-off fee they gain access to referrals via the Connect website, and our lecturers. Our lecturers get booked our very quickly, so we need other tutors that Connect students can go to. Connect helps channel students to you, but you operate independently — with your own rates and times.

Regarding the minimums — they are there to encourage high scoring applicants in certain subjects and we obviously think that as a general principle you need a high score to help others get a high score. This said, you have fantastic achievement across the board, and we do want to acknowledge that, so if you absolutely feel a role is suited for you then we encourage you to apply :)

2. Also are you able to provide more infor regarding the tutoring such as how it works?

1. It depends, but we aim to process all applications by January 2, which is also the closing date. Some will be processed much faster.
2. Your name will be on the website with contact details, and you'll benefit from any promotions we do. Tutoring is completely your business from the referrals onwards; you set your own rates, tutor at your own locations, and manage your students. We only get involved at the beginning to make sure you will be a fantastic tutor and during the course of the year if we have any feedback from parents that we need to act on.

To clarify, all of our lecturers already have access to our tutoring promotions. So you will also be a Connect tutor. But you control your own tutoring, so this is not something to be concerned about. You must do some tutoring if you want to be a lecturer though because it's really good preparation and keeps you synchronised with the concerns of students.
