Biomed students - how many times week do you go to uni

I know it sounds like a noob question, but I got a clear in ATAR and now there's the issue of relocation. So I was wondering if I had to travel to Parkville, how many times a week approximately would I have to do so?

thank you

Core lectures for first year are mon, weds and friday. Chance are however that you'll have to come in on Tuesday or Thursday to accommodate pracs and such.

It depends what lectures you are willing to miss. I'd advise you to go everyday for the first week so you know which lectures are recorded and can't be missed (e.g. chem is pretty important). Otherwise any days with tutorials/ pracs are pretty much essential.

Unlikely to respond to any PMs these days.

5days most likely, but you'll probably skip days eventually

Also in 2011 I think there were lectures that started at 8am, and I'm a Science student but I have biomed friends.
Graduated in 2011.

8am lectures I went to in 1st year: 12/12
8am lecture I went to in 4th year: 1/15

If it's recorded, you can always be independent about it :P

First semester I could get in 4 days a week because of the breadth being flexible with the timetabling, but semester 2 it was 5 days a week.
If transport is hard for you etc. etc. etc. then maybe you could pile all the practicals on one day, and then skip the days when you have recorded lectures - but that's if you really find that to be a better option for your situation. Tiring yes, having lectures, tutorials and two practicals on one day, but it saves you the trouble for the rest of the week. (Biology - 1 hour tutorial before a 2 hour practical, chemistry is a 3 hour practical).

Of my three years in biomed, I was not able to get a timetable with a day off. The breadths I chose happened to be on the days my core subjects were not on. For example, in first year, economics was on tuesday and thursday and the cores were on monday, wednesday an friday. It's not too bad though because the days are less packed and there was time to study/catch up at uni.

I had 4 day weeks the whole year. I know people who have managed to cram everything into 3 days but they had like 8 am starts and ended at 6 ish.

Clearly in was 99. Only SEAS and Kwong got in below that. Absolutely minimum was 92.

I've heard of Biomed kids having one day off, but without exception this means that their remaining 4 days are absolutely chockablockers.
The Finnish word pilkunnussija, which translates literally to “comma fucker,” is someone who risks his social wellbeing to annoyingly and persistently point out punctuation errors.

Not true. I had Thursday off, one prac on Tuesday and only my 3 core lectures (8-12) on Friday. Wednesday and Monday were chockers though. 8am-6:10pm with only an hour break for lunch.
