Not sure if this is the right place to post, but do all those different university rankings such as QS, New York Times and The Times ones have any meaning? As in should they impact our decisions at all?

To some extent, yes. The rankings utilize occasionally dodgy methodology, but employers and universities do take them seriously in some cases, and they do tend to very broadly/loosely reflect rough levels of quality. A much better guide though is speaking to students at universities and getting their perspective - this will be much, much more valuable for undergraduates.

If you want to go on exchange to an internationally renowned university, going to a higher ranked uni in Australia would be beneficial as they would have a larger number of university partners you could choose from. If you look at ANU / Melb Uni / Monash's exchange list, they are much more extensive than lower-ranked universities.
