Monash scholarship

Hi guys, i got two texts from Monash uni saying:

"Congratulations (my name)! You have been invited to join the Vice chancellors Access Monash Scholars Program "
and
" Congratulations (my name)! You have been offered a conditional Monash Scholarship for Excellence and Equity"

Does this mean if i accept i am guaranteed to be a part of the program and receive the scholarship for excellence and equity?

Those are the same two I got last year too \o/ Congratulations!
Last year I got the text just for the Excellence and Equity one on the day of results, but in the mail the details came a day or two later, and the Vice-Chancellors access one (which I didn't know I was getting till it came). So you do have something, just have to accepted it all properly when it comes.

If they don't come in the mail, then as said above, give them a ring up (no harm in ringing, just in case the postie stuffs up)

EDIT: I think this was the number for the Scholarship Unit at Monash, although I'm not sure if thats just for people currently on a scholarship or not.

When do the scholarships come into play? Like do they just deduct a certain amount off the amount i owe when i go to pay or do they give out cheques?

From memory from last year mine went in during the middle of april, which is I guess halfway through the semseter. It goes straight into your bank account that you put into WES, (assuming since you have the same two that I did). Then from there you can take it out and pay off HECS, or use it for books or really whatever you want to use it for.

I don't remember putting my bank account number into WES... do you happen to remember which section this was under?
Oh and what average must i maintain to keep the scholarships?

The access thing is a once off, so you get the payment and thats it, the excellence and equity scholarship was 60 WAM, which isn't hard if you put the effort in.

Putting the information in should be WES-->Fees / Scholarships-->View your current scholarship payment details-->

View your current scholarship payment option
---> then it should take you to something to put it in I think... well its how it happened last year, unless they've changed it.

I'll try and find the link for the rentention of the scholarships for you.

Oh It says this:
"You are not permitted to update your banking details as you do not have a current scholarship offer."

but under "Scholarship Offer Response Status" it says that i have accepted both, so what's wrong??

wait, nvm, i read my letter and it says they will contact me in feb/mar for my banking details
