Confusion

Hi guys,

I’m so confusing right now.

My dream has always been to study Bachelor of Arts at either UoM or Monash and doing a double major in Psychology and Media and Communication (or Journalism).

Now I know that the reality is I need to do a pathway but I’ve no idea which uni to choose from.

First up is Vic Uni (40253) with the Bachelor of Arts. It's the closest to where I live right now.
The second choice is Deakin (16263) Bachelor of Arts (Psych) this is a new course so of course there aren’t any ATAR clearly-in just yet.
The third is La Trobe, Science (Application in Society). Although it's a science course but it still offers a Professional Communication major alongside with Psych. Only problem is: it's far away and it's a science degree so I'm not really sure that I can take enough credit to transfer to arts.

So which university do you think will help me successfully transfer to either Melbourne or Monash after first year?

Of course, I know that there aren’t any guarantee because there are many factors to be considered such as the average of GPA need to be above 75% ( or even 80%) and the similarities between the programs offer at both universities.

I'm pretty sure that I will move out next year to be close to the uni that I'm going to attend but I'm still undecided about the decision of uni :-\

It has to be BArts(Psych) because normal BArts at Deakin doesn't have Psych major.

I think you would have a better chance with a Deakin degree.

Then how hard is it to keep up an average above 70% in uni throughout first year? Given that I'll keep working non-stop and sacrifice on social life, job, etc...

I remember someone said on this forum: "Study smarter, not harder" :P
Shouldnt given up social life in uni. Better to manage your time
