Is there any big advantage to doing a double degree? Just say in Journalism/Business?

Other than having two degrees of course...

Other than having two degrees of course...

I selected that as my third preference more so out of interest than anything else. All my preferences are partly motivated by future occupation/s but mainly interests and what I'd like to do.

Maybe not the right way to go about it, but I honestly couldn't give a damn about money, at least that I have enough in the future. E.g. Journalism is not a prosperous occupation in the future, however I selected it out of interest and with the /Business degree as a back up in case (that is an advantage and also appeals to me). Whether I can get into any of these top courses of my preference are completely beyond me.

Anything can happen on a given SAC or Exam day. Hence, why I have 12 courses.

I saw you have BA(Hons) as your first preference, you don't need to worry about honours until you've actually started your degree as ATAR means absolutely nothing in terms of honours entry. Are you looking to do research (MPhil/PhD) after your degree? If so then honours is the obvious path but if you aren't looking down that route then it might not be the best option.

Ignore the above if you are intending on majoring in Psychology because you have to get into Honours or 4th year before MPsych.

Not sure of the complexities, the (honours) was just to fill out the label of the course rather than 'I' actually knowing what it meant. Yes, research does appeal to me. But then again, I have not thought about this. A 92+ ATAR is a great exaggeration of my abilities though, whilst I'd love to do the course I have to be realistic about what I can accomplish.

Don't worry about it. Pretty sure i've been to RMIT and UoM twice now and I still don't know anything. All I have are books that I haven't opened and pens that I haven't used.
The cap from RMIT was nice though.

I'm almost 100% set on La Trobe podiatry.  8) ;D :)
I'm guessing most 14ers are either going to UOM or MU? :'(

What do you mean by this? You can't apply to an Honours course at unimelb straight out of high school.

I understand that perfectly. I typed the word (Honours) down to fill in the course description and potential options later on.

I regret it, but doesn't make a big difference.

I typed that in sub-consciously, the honours option was not really considered at this immediate stage.

Again though, this is my ambitious target. Or in other words, the land of melody inside my head.

I do not in the slightest expect that I have a chance to enter this course, hence why I have placed it as number 1 instead of number 5 per say...

Nope! I was 100% set on ACU but now I'm seriously considering doing a gap year and doing a Cert IV in Visual Arts to build up industry connections and portfolio for my dream of dreams career (contemporary collage artist).

But I have zero idea where to go/check out for that blehhhh.

2014 : Food Tech (40) | Accounting (35) | Art (39) | Visual Communication Design (40) | English (38) [hopefully!!]

Torn between these two ordering of preferences...

-Occupational Therapy ACU
-Nursing ACU
-Occupational Therapy Monash
-Occupational Therapy La Trobe (Bundoora)
- Occupational Therapy Deakin
-Nursing Monash
-Nursing Deakin

 or...

Occupational Therapy ACU
Nursing ACU
Nursing Monash
Nursing Deakin
Occupational Therapy Monash
Occupational Therapy Deakin
Occupational Therapy La Trobe
Occupational Therapy CSU

None of the other OT courses are really accessible for me, but other nursing courses are. This is why the other nursing courses are bumped up in my preferences in the second ordering compared to the first.

I'm also applying for the Early Achiever's Program at ACU and contemplating applying for La Trobe's equivalent program called Aspire. ACU's seems a lot easier to apply for..

Could someone who is looking at science/medicine courses for their VTAC preferences kindly post what they've got :P
Similar to what Contrarian and walkec have done! I won't copy, just need a brief idea and whatnot.  ::)

Seriously so lost with this all.... I need a tint of inspiration or something haha cause I'm this all alone and have no experience whatsoever when talking about Uni's and courses.  :(
