Hey man! i usually spend 40 - 100 minutes on looking over the exam, afterall your meant to make sure you dont make the same mistake again. Dont worry about it, if you thinking of spending 10-15 minutes thats a waste of time, and your right about quality > quantity make sure where you went wrong not to make that again, and hopefully in 2-3 weeks time you'll be getting 95%+ and it'll only take you a fraction of the time
Thanks for the tips man :). Yeah hopefully it comes to that point (hopefully!!) haha :).

Hey guys

Sorry if I've asked this too many times, but how long exactly is it taking you guys to go over exams?

I just went through a neap physics exam, and it took me 2 hours ... I got about 75% in it, so it took me 2 hrs to go through roughly 20% of the exam. I know quality > quantity, but am I spending too long? Like, I couda done another practise exam with that time ! :).

thanks
Don't worry you're not spending too long, corrections > doing questions.
And hey at least you're doing practice exams... I'm still stuck finishing my unit 4 notes -.-

just go over the mistakes however long it takes to make sure it wont happen again LOL so it might end up being 25 minutes re learning how to answer that one question, but if that question pops up on the exam you have guaranteed marks LOL

This is literally what I am hoping for. If I see a similar question in which I learnt how VCAA wants answered, I will lift my head up and smile. And laugh evilly in my head.

Thanks guys :)

Yeah especially for the science subjects they like repeat questions with a little alterations IMO. So the more questions you do, and the better you understand them the higher the mark you'll get. It should get to a point where you can just guess what they are going you when you've just read half of the question.

How are you guys going about studying these holidays?

Like how many hours a day, if you do every subject each day or break it up?

During the week, I was averaging about 6-7 hours a day. I didn't do anything yesterday and not all that much today.
I break it up across my subjects. This week I'm going to try and follow my school timetable to ensure I am dedicating equal time to my subjects  :)

I do about 12-14 hours a day, excluding breaks. I try to get an english essay done in the morning, then a maths one. After that I'd do a chem paper followed by my other maths exam. Usually after 9 Id just chill out.

Out of interest, how much do you get done in those 12-14 hours? I'm not having a go, just curious because I know I wouldn't be all that productive in that time.
