Anyone else feeling guilty for not accomplishing much the past few days, or just me?

There's always more I'd like to get done. But I think you've got to remind yourself that you're only human - you are a normal, logical, emotional human being doing VCE not a robot who can churn out 3 full practice exams and 2 english essays each day.

Just remember everyone's in the same position. Focus now on what you don't know and you'll do fine  :)

Yeap exactly right. I feel like doing something is better than nothing. A few pages of notes or one practice exam is better than sleeping all day :P

At times in the past couple of weeks I've been feeling like my work is not paying off and I'm not really seeing any improvement in my results etc. So I always try and think to myself what I would be like if I hadn't done any work at all, and usually that motivates me to keep chipping away at what at times seems an insurmountable challenge.

Just a few more days of high school classes forever, well for me anyway. Hate the feeling when now's the time of the year where you need to know the coursework inside out, still a bit patchy on some content :'(

it's never too late :D

honestly, it doesn't matter too much when you start. if you know the content well you'll do well regardless; it's not all about spamming practice exams.

Absolutely exhausted after a massive day at school.

Final whole school assembly today and then the year 12s hosted a morning tea for all the staff. That was followed by a full English practice exam in period 4 going into after school.

I got a lit practice piece I did back today too. Best mark yet on a passage analysis! I tried something that one of the lecturers suggested at VATE and I really think it helped give my piece more direction and help me get a better mark. Even though it was only one mark better than my previous one, I love that feeling of satisfaction when you finally see your hard work start to pay off.

My English/Lit teacher said I'm writing too many essays, oops. He said no more than one a day for either English or Lit. Not that I was doing more than one a day anyway. It's probably him politely saying that I need to back off a bit, haha. I felt like saying to him "sorry that you're a good teacher and that your subjects actually make me want to write essays", but I thought that would be a bit too cheeky.

Starting to feel as if going to school this week is a huge waste. I sit in class and listen to the teacher ramble on about how it's so crucial we sit down and do work when she never stops talking.

Boiling my blood if you ask me. On the bright side I managed to do ~3-4 hours tonight of homework.

My dad took the day off so I couldn't really study in an already hard environment to study. So I went to a local library and had to leave because there were all this mums there reading books to crying babies. So I leave again and watch three episodes of dexter and decide to trek over to the state library. I was there for about an hour and decided I wasn't going to do anything so I went to Crown with my friend. I put $40 on red and lost it all which was my dinner money. I thought fuck this I need to win it back, withdrew another $40 and lost it again. I see how gambling addictions start - but I hate being in that environment it is so dull. So I leave Crown and go to visit RMIT which is the University I've been looking at. Decided it looked like a hospital/MCG/insane asylum/prison mixed. This was after reading a little article in Monash's magazine about procrastination in SWOT VAC - laughed to myself. This is after doing literally nothing for over a week, and even then I've only studied around 3 or 4 times. FMLLLLL.

So alongside my ~75 ATAR which will get me into nothing I want to do, there are no Universities I want to be at. Monash is close to me but asides from the fact that I won't get in I haven't enjoyed my time there when I've been there. I like Melbourne University but I won't get in. I also do not want to do Arts. Swinburne and Deakin don't appeal to me. I really think the only way I could enjoy going to University is if I lived in a college at like ANU but I'm not willing to relocate because I can't bring pets.

Looks like I'm going to live a life of quiet desperation. I wish life was simple like a hollywood movie. blehhh. Why can't I just plug a USB into my head and learn that way stupid world.

@walkec - holy cow dude O.O I would be sleeping like, halfway through that day, ahaha.

Finding myself struggling with the lack of direction (as if it wasnt obvious, hah). I've done all my notes and I've done 4-5 practice exams for each subject and I don't know what to do anymore D: Writing more notes feels like I'm wasting my time, as does doing more practice exams. Legit have no idea what to do.

Also, laid up with sickness on my third last day -_- not. happy.
