Your dp though... LMAO.Best thing I could advise you on is to leave it and move on. What's done is done and for all we know your writing may suffice a high SS. Nonetheless, methods is next and focus on that for now. You say you're confident in it, then show it. Let it compensate your English SS, best of luck. :)

Thank you for that ;D I'm really trying to forget about English and get into Methods mode.

How is everyone dealing with their exams?

Guys, I feel like I really stuffed up English. Like I didn't finish and my writing wasn't up to scratch. It's sort of disheartening. Like I have no idea what sort of study score I'm looking at for English now and the fact that it is 1/4 of my ATAR doesn't help. I've got Methods next Wednesday which I'm confident in but I don't really know if it's worth the struggle for me to get a bad ATAR (due to English) anyway.
English isn't everything..yes, I know it counts in your top 4 but stuffing up your exam doesn't necessarily mean you'll get a bad ATAR. Focus on your other subjects that you're relying on to bring you up, because honestly there's no point throwing away a whole year's worth of hard work because one exam went badly..which you'll be doing if you give up now. Please don't do it..please, just focus on your other exams and try to do your best :)

I'm fairly sure that if you do better in your other top 3, it can boost your aggregate which boosts your ATAR. Just because you performed well in English, it doesn't mean you'll get a crap ATAR as I already mentioned..it just means that you'll have to work harder in your other top 3 to compensate for it. Which I'm sure you can do :)
Best of luck !

On a separate note, I think I'm starting to fold under the pressure of exams. I'm starting to get anxious and scared in everyday work..like whenever people just randomly speak from behind me I jump. And if people touch me from behind, it frightens me. It's just little things like that..tonight cause it was Halloween we had a lot of kids come to our house asking for lollies, and everytime the bell rang I just jumped. I don't know if this is exam stress or whether I should really be concerned for my mental health ::)

In the English exam, was it just me who felt like their vocabulary went downhill massively during it? I still feel like I wrote well and will pull a good mark, and having a pretty meh vocab compared to my normal one would have been good for the sake of clarity, but it surprised me.

Happened to me for the L.A. - my sentence structure was so repetitive and shit... as I was trying to do it as quickly as possible :/

The whole task is just arbitrary and fucked. Seriously, how is a three hour exam in which we're expected to casually change styles three times a proper indication of our skill. I could've written three beautiful essays on my prompts/the article but because of time I had to write a) badly and b) not enough. That's why I'm leaving it behind me.

How exactly does ranking work? I was ranked 7th in my cohort of 68 for English and I don't really know what that means for exam scaling and whatnot.

I wouldn't look into it too much. I know someone who was ranked 10th in a cohort of 400 last year and got a 43.

Getting 68-ish / 80 for methods exam 2. Hopefully I can lift that to 70s in the next dew days.

What exam? I'm getting around the same range - high 60's low 70's. How do you plan on improving?
