Out of Control Teens

It's the new year today and understandably, people are out having fun and all. But there are a select few teenagers, who just infuriate me. (Huge suppression of words on my part)...

Today at the signal before my house, two teens, probably drunk, started saying random stuff towards me and my parents in our car. Dad being a typical fob, played along with them, thinking it was all fun. Then they proceeded to get aggressive and punch our car. I should've run the red..

It absolutely enrages me that people can get away with this sort of behaviour. It irritated me even more that our car was relatively new as well.

And the worst part is that there's nothing we could do about it. I know for one thing, when I get my car, I'll have at least 2 cameras and that way, I can and will bust these try hards.

Some teens just think they're absolute heroes because they participate in this sort of infantile act. It just makes me hate this young teen culture even more.

Sorry about the rant, but it needed to get out of my chest.

Car didn't have a scratch in the end though :) Happy new year everyone. First AN rant of the year :D

Laugh at them later then. I like it.

There's a fine line between having fun and being a nuisance. You know those short regrets you have? I'm having one of them now, I keep wishing I just crossed the red. :(

It's a small thing, nothing happened but it still irritates me. I think it's because they got away with it.

Good to hear your car wasn't damaged :)

Seeing as they punched the car, you can go to the police if you like; these idiots are liable under "Violent behaviour" (see http://www.legalaid.vic.gov.au/709.htm)

Quote
Violent behaviour is any behaviour that causes another person any injury to the body that interferes with a person’s health or comfort, or that places them in fear of being injured.

and

Quote
You don’t have to make physical contact with someone to be charged with a violence-related offence. Placing a person in fear that you will be violent towards them can also be an offence, including:
  • threatening to harm someone
  • being physically intimidating, such as standing over someone.

You may as well provide a description to the police; they'll do what they can and you can feel good at doing the right thing in a tough situation, having not run that red!

I couldn't actually see them very well :( I may decide to go and give what I can though. :)

Stupid stupid people.

It saddens me that people like this exist in our society unfortunately. But what can you do?

That sucks man.

I don't watch those heavily biased shows!! :P

Oh and guys, I wanted to run the reds for our safety. Because I didn't expect them to do anything, the doors were still opened, they could've opened it and hit my mum and dad. That's not how we want to start a year :P haha.

Biased? But Today Tonight is very balanced. Especially with respect to Asians and immigrants.

Yeah, I've had similar things happen to me too!
People have kicked out our letterbox about 10 or so times since I've lived here, and throw it somewhere lake in the lake opposite us!
They've also put huge dints in our fence by punching/ kicking it, etc
It infuriates me so much! And they must think it's hysterical!

I feel your pain :( Our parents work hard to get this stuff and these hipster bogans decide that they need to do something about it..

We once had someone throw a really small explosive at our house... Shattered the window in front. :(

And Simba, those 10pm walks, they ain't happening for a while :P

xD, A few times throughout year 7,8,9 and 10, people having been blowing up my mail box. (It doesn't happen any more as I have a metal mail  box now .... not my old wooden one </3 )

The awkward moment in year 7 was when someone, from my class, was boasting of his achievement, when he 'blew up a mail box near the school'. Funny thing was, I live near my school ....
