You can't do science subjects as breadth in Biomed. Biomed is, for all intents and purposes, a Science course with a different name.

Bioeng though Biomed has different foundation courses such as Physics for Biomed and Chemistry for Biomed.

You can't do any science based subjects as breadth if you are doing Biomed. Although there are two subject slots that you can choose between science or other breadth subjects.

Instead of cluttering up the board with multiple threads; try using the general thread for these kinds of questions.. Just keeps the board a bit easier to navigate.

Maths is a classified under the Science Faculty, so it is not eligible for breadth (BSc/Biomed breadth).

Hmm if I was going to do Science or Biomedicine I wanted to study Maths or wildlife-like Biology in my breadth, but I guess that's not possible. I guess it'll be Italian that I pursue. :P

The whole idea of breadth subjects is to explore fields outside of science and pursue other interests.

There a lot of options available so pick what grabs your attention the most :)

Haha nah you definitely can :P

Here's a page listing all the philosophy subjects offered at UoM - you can take any of them as breadth:

You have 4-6 slots to pick breadth classes. You can pick whatever classes you want for those as long as they, in fact, are breadth eligible for your course. When you say 2 "breadths" I presume you're talking about two different areas of study, and yes you can do that.
