Will I receive my timetable at orientation? Or do I have to construct it myself prior to then with Allocate+?

I don't understand Uni...

First you decide on which unit that you're going to take by referring to your handbook. Link.

Then you log onto MUTTS (Monash university timetabling system) Link. Chuck in your units, select them and hit grid timetable. You then sort out your lectures/tutorial/labs time and create your "ideal" timetable.

After that, log onto allocate+ and put in your preferences.

Thanks JinXi.

If I were to, for example, follow one of the recommended study sequences proposed in the handbook, should I only initially enter the units listed under 'stage one', or should I chuck the entire sequence into MUTTS?

Also, how do you use MUTTS? I put some units in, but I got a massive amount of stuff in the resulting grid timetable. Is there something else I need to do?

To use MUTTS, you only select and put in the units that you are going to do for that semester. Once you pick the 4 units, hit grid timetable and it should bring up quite a number of stuff. Tick the lectures/labs/tutorials that you want and sort through it so that you only have one of each different thing.

Refer to MUTTS/Allocate+ guide by Fyrefly

You need to tick the times you want because the grid timetable in itself just shows all the available times for your lectures, tutorials and labs.

The week before semester starts you go on your mymonash portal and you click on study and administration, your time table will be there :)
