Negotiated offer UoM BBiomed

I just called up and they said there was a cut off for bio med (99.00)
Given my atar was only 0.05 off should I still apply for the negotiated offer? Or would it be a waste and should I just apply for science instead ?

Im pretty sure the cutoff was 98.80 this year.

EDIT: Go for the negotiated offer like Hancock said, there was probably a mistake in their process

Cut off for Biomed was 98.80. What are they talking about? Go for the negotiated offer and if you don't get it, just go to Science if you still wanna do Sciey type stuff. Biomed is basically a more rigid BSc.

Wow I never knew they had a separate atar cut-off for neg. offers. So would you say an ATAR of 98 pretty much guarentees a place in science? How many people approximately get in via neg. offers?

When I asked the admissions officer at Melbourne Uni for the negotiated offer for Biomedicine (Chancellor's Scholars Program), she said it takes about 24 to 48 hours. I'm not sure if that's the case for all courses though.
2012 ATAR: 99.90~

So many questions so little answers :(

What are my chances of getting a negotiated offer being 0.05 off the new cut off?

Why didn't you got in, in the first place since you made the cut-off?

Any particular reason for Biomed over Science? If you don't make biomed then just go with Sci imo.

This is the page with the 2013 negotiated offer cut-offs:

http://futurestudents.unimelb.edu.au/admissions/applications/negotiated_offers

It says you will be considered if your ATAR>98.80 so it's worth a try.

Oh and btw the negotiated offer option is now available in your vtac user account.
