It's not that difficult if you're into computing :D You have a few programming subjects and an intro to IT one + information systems as cores. The rest of first year subjects are electives, so you can choose IT ones, math ones, or just general interest stuff (I took philosophy + macroeconomics + roman history as electives in first year).

Ah yeah fair enough. I'm still trying to decide what electives I want to do haha.

Yeah I know what you mean I had the same problem first year. First year is a time to develop some interests. In the 2nd and 3rd year there are WAY more IT/CS electives you can take to fill the elective spots.

Just be on the lookout for timetable clashes. Here are some suggestions:

CSE1CES: C PROGRAMMING FOR ENGINEERS AND SCIENTISTS (Sem 1)
PHI1CRT: Critical Thinking (Sem 1 ->> Personally I took this subject and it's wonderful. The lecturers are fantastic and the course isn't stressful at all since the final exam is worth 20%. They also cut the debate out of the subject; previously it was worth 40% of the final grade. You also learn some basic logic in philosophy which is really useful for later on in IT. It's the perfect elective. Highly recommended.)
