Different groups may have different timetables, but mostly you have it once every week - sometimes you will have a week off, it depends on the schedule.
This was for Physics 2, but I assume it to be also true for Physics 1.

First year physics students have pracs in 8/12 weeks during the semester. There is never one in the first week, however, and there isn't a real pattern to when the weeks off are.
The Finnish word pilkunnussija, which translates literally to “comma fucker,” is someone who risks his social wellbeing to annoyingly and persistently point out punctuation errors.

Oh ok, so I'll have 3 of the 11 weeks with no Pracs (not including first). Do you think it's worth having the prac on its own on one day to allow a day off every now and then (as is the case in my current timetable)?

That's a good idea

Early finish on Fridays, Tuesdays off, hectic Wednesdays and Thursdays though

Are mondays too unrealistic? I'm not sure as to whether I should spread the classes out and have no free day or leave it like this? :S

You interested in business? If it's just to fill a breadth spot, I'd personally suggest not to do this subject and opt for something 'easier' - such as Living Longer (UNIB30005).

If it were me - Monday is fine. Since they are lectures, you might choose not to come to some of them and just listen to them at home. For Tuesday I'd move the chem prac and biol prac there. This leaves Wednesday and Friday free (if you listen to lectures at home). And since bio pracs are every second week, you would finish earlier on Tuesday.

Just a suggestion :D

Interested in Law and Business so I wanted to try out the subjects and see if I like them or not :)

Hey, sorry to butt in but it seems that everyone has approx 20-21 contact hours for science / biomed here.

I enrolled in BIO, CHEM, JAP and Physics (fundamentals) for sem 1, and I have 24 hours a week...

Is this something to be worried or concerned about?

Thanks!

Nah, I think its pretty normal for your subjects. Most people will have 20 - 21 because they don't all do physics on top of chem and bio. The physics prac i think is 3 hours, pretty much making it up and the tute

You might want to take into account that biology/chemistry practicals and tutorials don't necessarily run every week (eg. biology practicals and tutorials run every second week).
