Does anyone have the two writing tasks of a practice GAT or possible a non-practice one (I'm not sure if you get to keep your GAT)? I would like to see how a really good one is supposed to be written. Incidentally, does anyone know how we are being marked on the writing tasks? Are grammar and punctuation considered? What should I be worrying about (not that there's much I can do about that)?
It says that its pretty much the structure of your writing and your fluency for those writing tasks. You wont receive extra marks for extra knowledge of something, (e.g. the Antarctica Base Station a couple of years ago, so you wouldn't get extra marks if you knew a little extra about Antarctica or the Base Station Project).
ALSO, A TIP:On the first writing task, make sure to actually read the criteria!!! I'm not joking, seriously. Some years it says clearly
DO NOT PRESENT AN ARGUMENT and as such you would be penalised if you do so. But some of one's I've done I've noticed that it doesn't say anything like that, so you would be able to have a contention and raise arguments.
