Aww  :( Don't worry we all have those days! Just make sure you sleep well tonight and start afresh tomorrow :)
I'm not really sure, but is this period meant to be like super-intense? Because I don't feel like I'm working at a very intense level :\

Everyone works differently :)

If you feel as though your putting in your maximal effort and you may only do say 5 hours of work one day, then don't feel as though you need to put in an extra 5 hours just to keep up with everyone else.

You might just work very efficiently.
Just remember guys to take those well-earned breaks every now and then guys! Like taking your dog for a walk every now and then or giving yourself a couple hours a week to watch tv or something!

I did two spesh exams today, the first I got 90% and second I got 47%... The severe fluctuation of my marks are really alarming (they were both exam 2s by the way)

Also, another question... Did any of you pick a subject to ignore because it will almost certainly be in your bottom two? I'm doing this for methods, because I'd need 40+ for it to overtake my further score and with scaling I doubt it wold beat my specialist score, but I feel so guilty for not studying for it. I've done two practice exams as revision and that's it. Now I'm feeling really uneasy because I'll basically be going into the exam blindly but I don't want to waste my time studying for it because in the grand scheme of things studying for other subjects right now will probably give me a better ARAT at the end!

EDIT: ATAR ATAR ATAR can tell my spelling will get me some mighty fine marks in English!

My Specialist Exam 1 results have been fluctuating like that too!

I seriously put equal work into all of my subjects this year, ignoring the implications of the three Maths rule. Methods will probably end up in my bottom two regardless (which is a shame), although I'm not really sure about which other subject will go with it. It will either be Biology or Chemistry, and while I have done better in Biology, the wording of answers is still an issue, and it doesn't scale up as much as Chemistry, so I'm inclined to think that way. That being said, I am notably worse in Chemistry, so I'm not too sure.

I haven't really been thinking about that stuff recently. As pi says, don't play a numbers game, play a "do the best you can" game.

I have the same problem in Physics. Physics scales less than chem, but I am doing way better in physics. I just have to see how the exam goes. I am deciding between methods and spesh too, I think the scaling for Spesh will make it in my top four, but just not sure. Studying all my subjects equally... Except English. So BORING...

Anyone else sick of correcting exams?

I actually enjoy doing exams but when it comes to correcting them... zzz

I've got a pile of exams I've done sitting there in a pile, uncorrected lol

YESSS!!!!! I'm sick of it as well. Over the holidays, I did 20 Practice Exams for Accounting, and wanted my teacher to mark them when I got back on the first day of this term. The first thing she said was that its better if I mark them, so that I know where the mistakes are. That pile of exams is still sitting next to me right now! :( I haven't formally marked them, but I just had a quick look over it all. BORING! :(

I don't mind marking my Methods exams though - They aren't too bad. I learn a lot from marking them, so I guess thats all good with me.

Or maybe, the teacher couldn't be bothered too  :-\

Probably. She was shocked when I was about to hand her the folder with all the exams in it. :p

I think my productiveness has slowed down. I've just been more like "Ugh..should probably do another practice exam" rather than "Yeah! New Challenge!". I've gotta get my head straightened ASAP for this next week and a half.

Also, congrats on 100 pages!

I did the VCAA 2009 Chemistry unit 3 exam
As well as Thushan's Challenge examination in his notes.

The former was really simple

The latter was ridiculous. I mean sure, I could do some of the questions, but under exam conditions?

Both :p

I'm glad we went through everything ( Russia on Tuesday as well ) but I am slightly terrified at having to know so much content since it took us two full days to cover( well, clearly we can't be expected to know and analyse all of it , but nevertheless)

Also lol hair.

Nliu95 found my exam hard.

My life is complete.

I was able to successfully complete all of the questions set by an IChO Silver medallist. My life is complete.

Still, given another half an hour, I would have finished the exam and get probably like 95%.
