I did two spesh exams today, the first I got 90% and second I got 47%... The severe fluctuation of my marks are really alarming (they were both exam 2s by the way)
Also, another question... Did any of you pick a subject to ignore because it will almost certainly be in your bottom two? I'm doing this for methods, because I'd need 40+ for it to overtake my further score and with scaling I doubt it wold beat my specialist score, but I feel so guilty for not studying for it. I've done two practice exams as revision and that's it. Now I'm feeling really uneasy because I'll basically be going into the exam blindly but I don't want to waste my time studying for it because in the grand scheme of things studying for other subjects right now will probably give me a better ARAT at the end!
EDIT: ATAR ATAR ATAR can tell my spelling will get me some mighty fine marks in English!
My Specialist Exam 1 results have been fluctuating like that too!
I seriously put equal work into all of my subjects this year, ignoring the implications of the three Maths rule. Methods will probably end up in my bottom two regardless (which is a shame), although I'm not really sure about which other subject will go with it. It will either be Biology or Chemistry, and while I have done better in Biology, the wording of answers is still an issue, and it doesn't scale up as much as Chemistry, so I'm inclined to think that way. That being said, I am notably worse in Chemistry, so I'm not too sure.
I haven't really been thinking about that stuff recently. As pi says, don't play a numbers game, play a "do the best you can" game.
