Here's your goal. Match my mate. 100 essays throughout the year.

That is insane. I wrote something like 25-30 essays throughout the whole year.

To be honest, essays are a refinement of my ideas, so less is more for me. XD

I wasn't talking about myself, but he did get 50 + Premiers (so that means 60/60 in the exam). He got a 50 in 5 other subjects.

Yeah if I were in your position I'd be researching, reading, brainstorming, discussing, thinking. And maybe writing a practice before each SAC. Your writing... Idk, it doesn't really need improvement, but text specific language will help to get familiar with (the one before the SAC).

An interesting discussion came up on the other thread in the water cooler. I think it's an interesting topic so I thought it deserves better exposure here :)

(Re: it's about time spent studying)

My week day consists of, waking up at 5:15 and excersising. Getting to school at 7:30-8am, studying till about 8:45. then after school. 3:30 I get home. Non academic time (lol) is from 3:30 to about 6-6:30pm. From there, 1 hour of one subject, 10 minutes break, 1h of another. So once I'm done, it's about 8:15-9ish. I do what ever I'd like to, ie, get stuff ready for tomorrow. Then I get ready for bed and sleep :)

It's only the start for me, so if I do find myself falling behind excessively, I'll make adjustments as I go. Within a few months, my standard routine should be concrete :) Provided I'm disciplined enough to follow my own rules haha.

But as I mentioned, my goals are not very high compared to a lot of you guys so I guess that's why I have a lot of spare time. So I think a lot people will look at each others time tables and think, "wow, that's a load of loafing around he does" or "she's definitely gonna burn out", but without knowing the person, their goals and their expectations, I think it's hard to make a judgement on how people study.

But I think this will be enough for me to reach the goal I desire :)

What does your day look like?

HAHA i do exactly the same thing as you kesh, except....
  • I don't wake up at 5 and then exercise
  • Get to school at 7:30-8am
  • Study till 8:45
  • 1 hour per subject at night
  • Or am able to finish at 9

LOLOLOLOLOL so kesh, you and I are completely different bar the "non academic time" from 3:30-6

BAHAHAHAHA

I'm totally different from both of you!
I don't do subjects by hours-instead I do a subject until I've finished the homework, revised a bit on the stuff I learnt last week, look at the stuff for next week, and then I move on to another subject.

hmmm. might try and get up a bit earlier to exercies though! I wake up at 7:45 :P

Hehe, what ever works I guess :)

I haven't been feeling exhausted which is good. Perhaps I can increase the amount of study I do if necessary later on :)

Yeah agreed with the "later on" part (i.e. closer to the collation of SACs). My friend was telling me he stayed up till 3am finishing an English essay that was due the following week :/. I really don't think he should put in all the effort just yet.

Staying up until 3am to do something due next week is just the height of stupidity.
