Oh, who can forget the all mighty analogue wrist watch. :P
Why of course! But when I first got mine, I had the bloody time of my life trying to figure out how to take the links out. I don't even remember why I found it so hard.

Lol - yeah my thoughts exactly, but I suppose my school has reasons for making it this early.

But I don't mind at all!  :P

I had mine already!  The teachers thought it would be less distracting if we got it over and done with in the first week of school.

I would have found it a bit hard to acclimatise, had my formal been at that time. It's like you don't see anyone in your cohort for 2 months, and then you party with them as soon as you meet them. Aah well - that's life!  :)

My school had a combined formal/valedictory, and  they held it on like... the 21st of October. It was terribly fucking inconvenient.

Mine's on a Thursday and every single girl I've asked (a grand total of two) can't go because they have a SAC on the next day. Knowing my school, they deliberately put it on that day for that reason.

So lucky. I'm actually excited for the GAT (I'm just expecting everyone to laugh now). I like general knowledge tests. Even though I'll score 2 in the humanities and arts section, it doesn't matter, :p Proud to have failed history and art every year.

Going to try my hardest in the GAT. They wouldn't just have it for no reason. I think it's underestimated. It must have something to do with your overall study score in some or all subjects.

I won't mess around in the GAT purely because it is essentially part of a lifeline in case things go wrong in the end. Keep in mind that that both 3&4 are at the end of the year now, so if you were ill for the end of year exam last year, they might've taken into account the results of your mid years and the GAT (not too sure), but that can't happen this year! I'll be trying my hardest just like I would in any other exam I guess.

That said, I won't come out crying if I don't think I went so well either!

I got a 39 for the Maths/Science/Technology section but a 50 for Further Mathematics, with the people below me reporting that they did far better than I did on the GAT. I used to believe that it was really important, but now I'm a tad sceptical. Nonetheless, I will be taking the GAT seriously.

Yeah, I'm not going to do any 'preperation' whatsoever for the GAT, but I'll give it a good go once I actually get in there instead of stuffing around and leaving after about an hour last year... because I ended up getting a derived score for my solo last year and if I actually took the GAT seriously, I may have gotten a higher derived score
