lol...
Not that I want to; I was refering to
Yeah, I'm not going to do any 'preperation' whatsoever for the GAT, but I'll give it a good go once I actually get in there instead of stuffing around and leaving after about an hour last year... because I ended up getting a derived score for my solo last year and if I actually took the GAT seriously, I may have gotten a higher derived score

You can't really study for it. It'd be helpful to just go over the past GAT to get an idea of what you'll be asked to do.

I was absent for the GAT last year, but because my school decides to hold an "official" practice prior to the real thing, I didn't miss out on the fun altogether. This year I plan to actually do the real one! I am verrrrrrrry glad I wasn't unwell for my 3/4 exam.

Yeah, my school also does a practice GAT and the examiners at our school actually mark the English sections... :S

In my opinion, that GAT is a test which could be studied for quite effectively (I mean, if one can study for something like the UMAT, then this is definitely study friendly!) but you shouldn't bother doing any practice for it.

Practically, nothing. I was unwell at the time, so my school recommended me not to worry about it, considering I was in year 11 etc. The only thing that happened was that my statement of marks had 'absent' where you guys would have had your GAT results. I have no idea what impact it had on my study score though, but as i was able to complete my end of year exam, my world did not implode from missing the GAT :P

The year 10 cohort at my school has a GAT created by the school for them, which sucks pretty hard. Thankfully there's no practice GAT for twelves. Anyway I see no reason to study for it so long as I take it seriously when I'm doing it.

Also, my friend told me that the GAT had something to do with determining whether your cohort is a bunch of dunces or something to help with SAC moderation but I wouldn't have a clue whether that's just something he pulled out of his ass.

I told all of my mates (and everyone else) to drop their pencils at exactly 11am. Sounded like a fucking Officeworks truck fell over in my school's gym. The examiners had no idea what was going on. It was a masterpiece :')
