Same :) I've desired I will write on The War Poems despite the fact I did better in my Christmas Carol SAC. I just enjoy it so much more!

I remember telling my friends I liked War Poems so much more than Stasiland. They looked at me like I was crazy, saying all that stuff about "it's a poem; it's so languid and dry! How can you possibly write on that??"

But to me it's not boring at all. In fact, it's practically stuffed with metalanguage I can analyse. Definitely see myself rambling on about some random preoccupations as well.

Random question, but how is everyone going with the VTAC registration? :) Have many of you submitted your preferences yet?

Actually I submitted mine like a few hours ago, we had some VTAC info session last week so I figured I ought to just get it done. I've only put down 9 prefs so far though, so I'll come up with another 3 sometime later.

Don't know a lot about the first one, but Stasiland is fantastic. My German teacher lent out a few copies for background on our detailed study. Just...wow. I could imagine it could be a difficult text to write on, though.

Stasiland... dont get me started mate... 1. its non fiction 2. its not objectively written... conflict already + all the symbolism, motifs and pathetic fallacy used = screw it, probs not doing it on the exam HAHAHAHA
btw, in case you didn't know, it actually was on the lit course up until this year...

Mate I only put down one preference (bachelor of science at Melbourne University) and I've already submitted my application and paid already.
well, i guess maybe mine wasn't so bad :P  but at least you can go back an change + add stuff.. i just got no idea for preferences 6-12.. if only they had a course on "Being a garbage man 101" :P

Stasiland did indeed help me gain a better understanding of the politics behind the Berlin Wall, which in turn helped me tackle my German Oral SAC task in semester 3, but it's just not my kind of text. For others, it's the best thing that's happened to them. So I guess perceived difficulty varies according to the person.

I did mine. I just have three: IT at RMIT, Monash and La Trobe.

Once you pay, are you able to still change preferences afterwards?

As of now I have:
Further (1 sac)
English (1 sac)
I.T (1 sac)
Business (2 sacs)
P.E (3 sacs)

I can actually imagine our P.E class finishing up on October 15th-19th, we're that far behind.
