Can I show up to lectures that aren't on my timetable?

Will I be able to attend lectures I didn't register for? For example, I am registered in the 4:15pm calc 1 lecture 1 (3) but on some days could I show up to the 9:00am calc 1 lecture 1 (1) instead?

The calculus lectures are stream classes by the way.

So does this mean I can skip the lecture I'm registered for each week?

Yes you can. In third year I went into my friend's lectures even though I wasn't enrolled in the subject. Although, if the theatre is already full, they may kick you out since it's a fire hazard.

Yeah unless it's so packed you gotta sit on the stairs in which case they'll kick you out (fire hazard).

Yeah you can attend any lecture you want. As long as there are plenty of seats, you'll have no problems.

Nope, as they have role call in tutes. However, the nice tutors will let you sit in if you miss your normal tute for the week.

Some tutors might allow you to sit in on tutorials even if you're not enrolled in the unit.

This happened once during an English tutorial of mine at Monash; some BSc guy came in, sat down, was upfront about the fact that he wasn't enrolled in the unit to everyone, but said that he was very interested in the content. The tutor wasn't happy (especially as it was late in the semester) but she agreed to let him stay that one time. Funny thing was he contributed more to discussions than just about everybody else in the room.

I'm not sure why you would do that, but oh well. Whatever the reason. :)
