Transferring to MBBS

Is there anyway to transfer to MBBS (planning to resit the UMAT) while undertaking undergraduate studies (specifically bachelor of biomedicine). I know they only accept people straight out of vce or gap year students. Possibly another way through?

Thank you all for any help in advance :)

That's Monash. UNSW, UWS both take students who are in the middle of an undergraduate degree.

So no chance to go to monash then at all? Why did I have to stuff up the umat :( . Interstate would be too hard financially. Will then just own the GAMSAT then hopefully.

The only ways into Monash are:
1) Very rare transfer from another medical degree (one person in my year has done this to my knowledge)
2) Dentists (qualified) can start their MBBS in 3rd year of the course if they pass all second year exams (again VERY rare and hard to organise)

Why can they do that? Very curious.

I had a couple of dentists in my clinical skill tutes who were learning stuff with us, and they said it was a fast-tracked pathway to be oral and maxillofacial surgeons, a specialty that needs both a dent and med degree.

That's nuts, can't say I envy them in the slightest.

For Monash, I think this world be near impossible. Purely because the course is of incredibly high demand and the added prestige factor. You'd get so many people applying to transfer that didn't get a place when the VTAC offers came out.
