[English] Language Analysis 3 - Cartoon

This time I've been asked by my teacher to analyse a cartoon. Obviously, it's quite difficult to just discuss a cartoon on its own so my teacher just told us to write about a page on it. The cartoon: http://resources1.news.com.au/images/2012/07/29/1226438/022745-valdman-cartoon-30-07-2012.jpg

Things you should notice have improved from the last piece:
- The introduction now includes a broad contextualising statement that sets the scene for the analysis.
- The conclusion is better structured, longer, and summarises the intentions and beliefs of the cartoonist.

I also have to thank everyone who has helped me out on my previous two language analyses. Whilst my teacher thought the first one was still quite good, she noted that she saw a marked improvement in my second essay, especially in the fluency. I hope this is a sign of the potential I have to excel in this subject. :)

Anyone? :(

hey ill give yours ago and maybe you could have a look at mine ?

ok

Firstly title ?

the first sentence seems a bit to specific maybe a more general sentence to start?
It might be a good idea to give a small snapshot about what the picture. (this is what I have always been told to do)
Loving the next bit

you could talk about the specific colours
also you tend to say "in the cartoon there is this.... is means ..."
try and re word some of these.
when you say viewers are compelled to take action you need a bit more detail about how and why.

just when your writing read the work out aloud and work on sentence flow. (sometimes this is better than using fancy big words

I love your conclusion

overall that is a fantastic piece !! well done!
