Hierarchy of objectives

I've been going over the hierarchy of objectives. Please tell me what you think of this question and my response.

Q: Define how the hierarchy of objectives functions.

A: The hierarchy of objective begins with the mission statement, the purpose why the business exists. The senior managers abide by the mission statement and create strategic objectives, which are the long-term goals of an organisation, that align with the mission statement. These are then sent down to their subordinates the middle managers who translate the strategic objectives to tactical objectives, which are medium-term goals. These are then sent down to their subordinates the front-line managers who translate them to operational objectives which are the short-term goals of an organsation. The employees then follow the operational objectives, while being monitored by the front-line managers.

What do you think of my answer? Isn't the best, what can I improve on?

thanks

Feels like a pretty sound answer to me.

It may not be necessary depending on the marks, but you could also note down about how the flexibility of objectives increases down the hierarchy and duration of objectives decreases.
