How to do dot product on CAS?

How do i work the dot fucntion on the TI-nspire CAS calc?

I did 7C3, opened a 3x1 matrix then what? I tried putting another one next to it and that didnt work

Did you have a comma in between?

(btw, you pressed "menu" before 7C3 right?)

The following also works

dotP([1,2,3],[4,5,6])

So you can make two square brackets instead of opening a 3x1 matrix (I find this easier)

Do you know how to test the existence of f(g(x)) stuff on the CAS?

you could define f(x)=... g(x)=...
Then type f(g(x)) and ENT. if it exists it comes up with the function...and if it doesn't then well...the CAS calc should tell you. Hope that helps

if it doesnt exist, the calculator stills spits out the rule unfortunately...
