Need some help on language anyalysis

Hey users of atarnotes, I'm new to this website (please go easy on me), I'm in need of some help, I'm trying to get a good mark in English so next year I can get into University, which is my main goal at the moment, but I'm struggling with language analysis and I can't even get it started. I'm in year 12.

I'm very strict on time due to me putting off doing my English work due to me being unorganized about when things are due, if you have notes, anything useful for a beginner for Language Analysis that would be great, I will try and be active as much as I can here and I will try and obviously do multiple language analysis to get the hang of it.

I appreciate all your comments and feedback. Thanks!

For a beginner analysis, follow this structure.

Intro
-Contextualising sentence. As in, what prompted the issue to be an issue? A bit of background information, really. Eg. "Following the abduction and subsequent murder of Jill Meagher, debate has arisen concerning the installation of CCTV cameras."
- The 'basics'. Title, publication, date, author. Can sometimes work in contention.
-Contention
-Tone(s)
-Audience
-Overview of main emotive appeals
-Mention the image.

Body Paragraphs
-Persuasive technique
-Evidence
-Effect on audience.

P.E.E

You can swap this formula around to be E.P.E, EEP, etc etc etc.

NB: This is only for a beginner essay. As you get more advanced you would cut out the 'P.'

For the first sentence of each paragraph just write what the author is saying or arguing. "The writer asserts that CCTV is a breach to privacy and other civil rights." and then follow PEE. PEE ON YOUR ESSAYS

Also, if you don't already, for each article you analyse, go through it and highlight what you think the persuasive techniques/persuasive language are and really think about what effect this is intended to have on the audience.

Please feel free to ask many questions because I'm unsure what you're fully looking for so just sort of went with it.
