Hi all :)
My SAC is on Lady Windermere's Fan/A Good Woman, and my task is 'what fundamental changes have been made in the film's version of the opening and closing scenes of the original play. What are the consequences of these changes?'

My SAC is tomorrow and I'm just looking for some feedback on a quick intro I just wrote

Thanks in advance :)

Introduction:
In adapting a story from one medium to another, much of the original text’s meaning can easily be lost. Mike Barker’s adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s ‘Lady Windermere’s Fan’ is no exception. While the general storyline is remarkably similar, changes that have been made in creating the film ‘A Good Woman’ has caused Wilde’s intended meaning to be lost, and it therefore does not accurately portray the message Wilde’s play. Though some of these changes may not seem to be major, such as those where all that has occurred is a line of dialogue being slightly altered, each has their own affect on the play’s overall meaning as Wilde intended it. These alterations to the original play are glaringly obvious in both the protasis and catastrophe of the story, that is, the opening and closing scenes of the play. It is here, where characters and plot elements are introduced, and where the climax occurs, that the changes made and the effects on the story’s intended meaning are most drastic.
