It seems like less of an opinion piece than a report, but the contention is that the Church must appoint a strong-willed successor to Benedict XVI; one who will be a leader in cracking down on child abuse.

But also note the second part: that the next pope must yes be more of a 'warrior prince', but for the *church's* ends - not his own (which it is suggested Pell might be).
[Update: full for 2018.] I give Legal lectures through CPAP, and am an author for the CPAP 'Legal Fundamentals' textbook and the Legal 3/4 Study Guide.
