GAT questions
« on: June 11, 2009, 06:29:27 pm »
Just wondering, does the statistical moderation process incorporate just your own GAT mark or as the whole year level? Also if you do well on your SACS and end of year exam and you do crap on your GAT will it affect your study score?

I don't know about your first question...

But for your second:
No, I'm pretty sure they made the GAT as a win-win situation.
From what I gathered, the GAT can only help you because if you do bad in your exam, yet good in your GAT, then yeah... it will help :)
But if you do bad in your GAT and good in your exam, I don't think anything will happen

Also not sure about if it affects individual moderation only, but I know that if you go crap in the GAT, and well in your exams and sacs, it doesn't affect you.

If you have really poor SAC scores and very low GAT score but 100% on the exam they might look into it. Or if you have really high SAC score and high GAT score but you fail the exam, they might rescale it or something.

Whatever the outcome, it shouldn't affect your study score(s).

I'm hoping it'll help my Methods. Sigh... failing epically.
2009:
Math Methods: 35 [41]
Vietnamese: 22 [26]

2010:
Chemistry: 40+
Physics: 45+
Specialist Maths: 40+
English: 45+
Japanese: 30+

Hopefully: 99+
Ambition: Medicine, Pharmacy or Radiography.

Ignore the above. I've failed Year 12 and life. I've had an epiphany... I'm destined to become a gigalo.
