firstly i just want to say i dont need your average run of the mill methods tutoring, ever since year 9, my maths has been on and off, every test since year 9 in geometry, trig, linear, quadratics, i have failed. and now in methods 1/2 i dont even understand half of whats going on and i need someone to catch me up, i cant even factorize quadratics or complete the square :(
i really want to do methods though, for my uni course, its just the graphing topics and circular functions/trig that i have no hope with. Things like probability, variance, consumer math, statistics etc. im doing well at
basically i need a tutor that can be patient with me, and has a good knowledge of not only the methods topics but also the foundations, my last tutors either just answer the methods question and dont explain how they got there, and when i ask them to elaborate, theres too much assumed knowledge which i dont have :( and an other tutor i had just gave up because he couldnt be bothered with the effort and explaining the basics
basically i need someone to get me up to scratch for methods 1/2, then continue to tutor me through the end of 3/4 because i would like to do well. you have to be patient and understand the general goal is to do well in not just methods but mathematics further on, like university and stuff so i dont just want tricks to solve things now i want to know how it all works, its starting to get really stressful and i just badly need a tutor,

preffered location: anywhere west side, in the city (state library, unimelb, etc.) or anywhere 15-20 mins from the city by public transport

preffered time: any time after 4:30 is good, any time on weekends are good too, and every second wednesday i can be in the city by about 2 if that makes a difference

idc about price as long as its reasonable and youre a good tutor who can help me out,

cheers guys!!

At the moment I can only do Saturdays at State Library of Victoria, but do have spots left on that day. I can tutor any type of student, we will just have to work at it and you'll need to put the effort in. If you're interested send me a pm and we'll try and work out what we can do :)

I'm starting to get too old for this... May be on here or irc from time to time.

I would also strongly recommend checking out the Khan Academy - it has (extremely good) mathematics videos which start (literally) at 1+1=2 and advance all the way up to tertiary level =)
