Whoever enjoys classical music, please leave the name of your favourite composer and era! It would be awesome to see the different tastes people have in the amazing form of music!
My personal favourite, Maurice Ravel, Miroirs III Une Barque sur L'Ocean and Miroirs II Oiseaux Tristes.

Rachmaninoff is definitely my favourite composer. Liszt is awesome too. Era I'm not sure, but either Romantic or Baroque.

Handel's Messiah, of course, and every Bach Cantata ever.

Émile Waldteufel - The Skater's Waltz -IT MAKES ME SO HAPPYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

Benjamin Britten  - Metamorpheses after Ovid -  I've played the "Pan" movement

Ravel's Bolero - <3

Tschaikovsky's 1812 overture

Saint-Saens -  Bacchanale

Yeah, I'll probably think of more later :P

Edit: I just realised this was meant to be about composers, not pieces. Oh well! :P

Haha that is okay, don't worry about it, it's okay to discuss specific pieces!

Does anyone listen to Maurice Ravel?

I love Tchaikovsky, i feel like his music makes you feel nostalgic idk, his June piece is a popular one but nevertheless amazing and one of my favourites
Also Chopin, his nocturnes are always impressive and Le Petit Chien is fantastic
I never liked Debussy but lately I've been getting into his stuff, Arabesque II is beautiful

Also Bach, gotta have some Baroque to complete the collection lol

I like anything heavy/epic sounding (maybe a coincidence since i also like metal/rock).

Some of my favourites (in the limited stuff i've heard anyway):

The planets - Holst

Carmina Burana - The whole thing too, not the extremely overplayed "o fortuna" bit

Requiem Mass - Verdi

Messiah - Handel

Prokofiev: Romeo & Juliet, Op. 64 - Montaques And Capulets (Dance Of Knights)

Annnd i don't know if it counts but i really dig this chick who plays the cello

I like listening to a bit of 2pac and Biggie, two of the best rappers who helped make rap the way it is today.

Definite classics.
